Summer

Getting used to the weather in Northern Idaho may be one of the hardest parts of our transition here.  One day it is snowing and freezing, with a winter that feels like it will never end, and the next it is summer.  Not just kinda warm, but like full blown summer.  I am convinced that within a 48 hour period the snow melted and now all I can think about is Otter Pops.  I am not at all complaining, it is magnificent.  Summer in Idaho is like a dream.  It smells delicious, everyone is taking full advantage of it (probably because it only lasts a little while), and spirits are high.

The Watson family partook in an Idaho favorite when we participated in the Moyie Mud Bogs last weekend.  We saw a LOT of mud, trucks, confederate flags, and beer.  What a riot!  We took Maxxman and he did great.  He wore earplugs and was fascinated by all the loud trucks.  He has recently started making a vroom vroom noise whenever he is near a motorcycle or truck, so the bogs made him more than happy.  One cannot completely do justice to the mud bogs by describing them, it is an event you must go to and experience first hand to understand.

Mens softball has also began.  This Monday was the first game for Kyle and the Golden Rule team.  They won by one run!! =)  (studmuffins) Maxx and I rode our bikes to the field and watched Dad and Uncle Justin play.  I love watching baseball with great people (Woop woop Becca and Ruth)!  Maxx enjoyed crawling over all of us as during the game and getting lots of attention.  They have a double header on Monday so if you are in town come by Travers Park and watch the boys play!  Unfortunately I was having too much fun watching and talking (and being crawled on) that I forgot to take one single picture, =(, but next week I promise to have some action shots of the team!

Oh how I love summer.
