Mrs. Watson plus 4 + 1 more!

Well, I am in a predicament.  I made this blog and called it Mrs. Watson + 4 (the "4" being Kyle, Maxx, Danger and Hemi) but silly me knew one day there would be one more perfect little addition to the family to make it complete, and here it comes!!!!  Kyle and I are so very excited to announce that come July Maxx-man will be a big brother.  I have no idea about what to do with the name of this blog...change it? Keep it?  Please leave me a suggestion in the comments!!!!!!

Anywho.  A friend of mine is doing this Pregnancy Survey every so often and when I read the first one I was so enjoying it that I went back and read through all of her weeks!  So I am ripping her off (thank you Erin) and doing one as well.  =)  First an adorable picture of Maxx, then a survey about the peanut.

one of the first snows of the season.  yes he is still in his PJs.  =)

How far along?  10 weeks today
Total weight gain/loss?  nope
Maternity clothes?  Not yet, but I can feel them coming on way faster then last time.
Stretch marks? None, thank goodness.
Sleep?  My sleep schedule is pretty lousy, and I wish I could blame it on the little peanut but it has been Maxx keeping Kyle and I up the last three nights.  Hopefully tonight will be better.
Best moment last week? Getting to tell my mom in person this time around.
Movement?  nope, not yet.  (but I am so excited for that part, one of my favorite parts of being preggo)
Food cravings?  Just foods I want to stay far away from, like pretty much everything making me sick at this point.
Gender? Not going to find out!  (but I will tell you my hunches along the way!)
Labor signs? None
Belly button in/out? In.
What I miss: wine and my energy
What I am looking forward to: feeling less sick all the time.
Milestones: Work out more, I have felt so sick working out has been what I have been skipping and that is no good on my morale.  Worked out today, and am shooting for 4 times a week.  (instead of like 1)

Enjoy your day!

Summer

It has been a crazy summer and I have not had the chance to post much about what we have been doing, but I am back!  We had a very busy summer, plans almost every weekend.  Though I am NOT ready to say goodbye to the beautiful weather, I am ready to slow down and enjoy the holidays and my little family.

Maxx is growing like a weed.  He is about 29 lbs, running now, and getting into EVERYTHING!  He is so busy.  A friend of mine in an email said it perfectly, that this age is dangerous because they are so much fun all you want is another one.  =)  He has destroyed my tomato plants, we have toys EVERYWHERE, the only time he chooses to be fussy every day is when I am focused making dinner, but every day is an adventure and he learns so much moment to moment.

Here are some pictures of some adventures we have gone on this summer.

Summer, where are you?

Today I have spent at least 5 hours of my day painting the outside trim and such on our beautiful home.  Standing on a ladder on our front porch I kept having the same two thoughts over and over.

1. Wow this is a beautiful house and it will be so much fun to sit here on the front porch in the evenings when it is finished.

AND

2. This is such lovely fall weather.

JUST ONE PROBLEM.....IT'S THE MIDDLE OF JUNE!!!!!!!   WHAT?!  It is cloudy and overcast and has a cool breeze.  There is standing water still in our yard because it has been raining so much and I have only seen the sun peek through the clouds for minutes at a time in the past month.  It would honestly be some of the most perfect fall weather, but it is not supposed to be fall, it is supposed to be SUMMER!!!!!!!  Grrr.

I also have limited checking my facebook account because I keep reading posts from friends in Sacramento and they keep 'complaining' about how hot the weather has been.  I would take a big fat dose of 100 degree weather right now with NO COMPLAINTS!!

So to end my rant, if you are one of my desperately missed friends living in Sacramento, I want you to appreciate your heat today for me.  And no matter who you are, here are some fun pictures of the family.

Love!

One year already?

WHAT?! ONE YEAR OLD?!  I am having some serious emotional moments lately, I honestly cannot believe that this little person is already going to be one.  I know everyone says how quickly this all goes, but I have to say it as well.  This past year has been the best year of my life.  Everyday is different, exciting, exhausting, and fun.  Remember this little person?!

Our Home

We are busy busy finishing up the last few things on our house.  Kyle has been on the tractor every moment possible leveling our yard preparing for grass.  Yesterday I caulked some parts on the porch and today I am putting a coat of primer and a final coat on some exterior trim.  While doing these final projects I can't help but reflect on the long process of building this house, and how it is now starting to feel like a home.  I feel so lucky, it is such a masterpiece, and even though it is still too early to look back on the process fondly, I do look back with appreciation.  So many people rallied around us to help build this big white house, and I am so thankful for every minute of time donated to complete this gigantic project.

While I am feeling appreciative, I need to recognize Mr. Watson. No one worked harder on this house, spent more time thinking about it (obsessing really).  It obviously could not be possible without him and words can't describe how lucky I feel to have a man in my life like him.  Every morning when I wake up and every evening when I make sure the doors are locked I am reminded of the hard work and love that went into building this home.

Thank you =)

The lot very early on.  Yep that is Maxx sleeping under the umbrella.  =)

About half way through, brrrr that was some cold work.
Just a REALLY adorable recent picture of Maxx I wanted to share.  This is his "serious" face.  =)

Summer

Getting used to the weather in Northern Idaho may be one of the hardest parts of our transition here.  One day it is snowing and freezing, with a winter that feels like it will never end, and the next it is summer.  Not just kinda warm, but like full blown summer.  I am convinced that within a 48 hour period the snow melted and now all I can think about is Otter Pops.  I am not at all complaining, it is magnificent.  Summer in Idaho is like a dream.  It smells delicious, everyone is taking full advantage of it (probably because it only lasts a little while), and spirits are high.

The Watson family partook in an Idaho favorite when we participated in the Moyie Mud Bogs last weekend.  We saw a LOT of mud, trucks, confederate flags, and beer.  What a riot!  We took Maxxman and he did great.  He wore earplugs and was fascinated by all the loud trucks.  He has recently started making a vroom vroom noise whenever he is near a motorcycle or truck, so the bogs made him more than happy.  One cannot completely do justice to the mud bogs by describing them, it is an event you must go to and experience first hand to understand.

Mens softball has also began.  This Monday was the first game for Kyle and the Golden Rule team.  They won by one run!! =)  (studmuffins) Maxx and I rode our bikes to the field and watched Dad and Uncle Justin play.  I love watching baseball with great people (Woop woop Becca and Ruth)!  Maxx enjoyed crawling over all of us as during the game and getting lots of attention.  They have a double header on Monday so if you are in town come by Travers Park and watch the boys play!  Unfortunately I was having too much fun watching and talking (and being crawled on) that I forgot to take one single picture, =(, but next week I promise to have some action shots of the team!

Oh how I love summer.

Stairs

We have mastered the stairs!!  Er, well, almost mastered the stairs.  Maxx can crawl up them like a pro, it is the down that we are still working on.  He grasps the concept that he has to scoot down them backwards, the pointing himself in the right direction is the tricky part.  He will be siting at the top, lay down with his face still facing down the stairs and start scooting backwards down the hall.  I give him an A for effort and understanding, now we will just keep turning him toward the right direction.

The ability to quickly climb stairs opens up a lot more space that he can wonder off to, and it is keeping Mom on her toes.  Before I could shut some doors and know he was confined to the kitchen, dining room, and living room.  Now adding stair space and upstairs, let me tell you I am on my toes ALL of the time.  Last night Dad and Maxx were playing the "Chase me up the stairs" game.  Nothing like making a kid good at climbing stairs fast like a 185 pound Dad chasing you, ready to tickle tickle tickle.  Needless to say there were a LOT of giggles in my house last night.   Happy days.

Mrs. Watson 1, Camera Charger 0 (barely)

There are very few things about my house I do not adore.   Very few.  It is beautiful, magnificent, grand.  From the white pillars on the front porch down to the lovely pine trim Mr. Watson spent days making oh so perfect.  It is a dream come true.  Okay, now I'm just gushing and losing track of the point.  My point is this, very few things I don't like...but this is one of them.  Lost things.

It really has nothing to do with the house and more to do with the moving into it.  I know where 98% of our stuff is right now, but that silly 2% is such a drag.  Like a missing car title here, a blu ray here, and the annoying vanished camera charger.  This camera charger has eluded me for months, it is gone, just gone!  I have two cameras, a fun big fancy one I use most often and an easy portable one.  The portable camera's charger was the one that had disappeared and the camera was completely dead for months, but in the end I won.  I found it.  Yay!!!  And to add to the excitement I got to finally see what pictures were on the camera.  SO MANY CUTE PICTURES!!  This picture was one of my favorites.  Maxx-man is so smiley, even when his mother can't seem to get the food into his mouth but all over his cutie pie face.

So here it is, a picture that was almost lost forever in a dead camera.  My little messy man all wrapped up in a smile.  Happy day!

Many Adventures

The Watson clan has been on many adventures the past couple weeks with more to go in the coming weeks ahead.  Here are some pictures illustrating some things we have been up to.  Enjoy =)
Easter fun 2012.  The Easter bunny brought Maxx a fun new noisy ball that Danger loves more than anyone, Kyle a honda hog cover, and mom new lipsticks. Oh, and delicious candy of course.

Schweitzer for the snowmobile races.  Maxx was a trooper.

Kyle and Maxx doctoring Danger.

Mud Volleyball Tournament at the Klondyke in Laclede, Idaho.  Won 3, lost 2, had a dirty fun time!

Too handsome not to add!  My itty bitty tiny baby is looking more like a little boy each day.

Building....again

We are getting ready to build another Watson house.  Again.  ..  ..  Maxx's Uncle Justin is getting ready to break ground on a beautiful new home in northern Idaho. (Well technically he has already "broken ground", but I am talking in terms of digging the foundation.)  How exciting!  I am still a little nauseous about the idea of building another house, with our house still so very fresh in my mind, but I am looking forward to help build this one for three reasons.

1. building in the summertime
2. cooking, baking, or just plain feeding the boys
3. less stress for my immediate family, a lot less stress

I got to see the property for the first time yesterday.  Kyle took Maxx man and I out to see the progress and watch Justin push a big tree over with the dozer.  No matter how old boys get I find it fascinating how entertained they are by the simplest things.  Give two boys a bulldozer, a cable, and a very small chainsaw (sorry Rudy) and they giggle and smile like it is their first time ever playing with such wonders.

We went out at five in the afternoon, planned on staying a half hour and drove away at about seven thirty.  The weather was semi-warm, Maxx ate lots of dirt, Kyle and Justin giggled like schoolgirls, a big tree (and another smaller one) are no longer growing, and I destroyed my clean Zumba shoes in the mud.  What a perfect afternoon.

Big R

Yesterday Mr. Maxx man and I went shopping to pick up a few things, like dog food and motorcycle parts.  I have never put Maxx in the shopping cart because I have become a little bit of a germaphobic since becoming a mom, and I can just imagine all the yuck that is on those carts.  We had to stop by Big R and as I grabbed the shopping cart fumbling with Maxx in my arms I thought, "If you can't trust Big R to have fairly clean shopping carts, what store can you trust?".  So I broke down and placed the little bug in the shopping cart.  HE LOVED IT!!  He wouldn't stop smiling, he loved the bumps and holding onto the bar.  He didn't even get into stuff, he just smiled and looked around.  We even got to check out the baby chickens (which made me SO excited to get chickens one day).  I snapped this picture of him looking so proud in his shopping cart.

Some other firsts that happened yesterday:
   1. I lost Maxx, I quickly walked into the kitchen and when I walked back into the living room he was gone.  I found him in my bedroom, he is getting speedy!
   2. I caught Maxx chasing Hemi.  I noticed he kept stopping, sitting up, and then shooting off like a dart.  I watched him for a minute and realized he was chasing Hemi around.  He would start his crawl, get close, she would see him coming and move, he would sit up, she would stop, and he would go after her again.  They did this for about 10 minutes, very cute.
   3.  I had a cup of Yerba Mate, possibly the first cup since we moved from California, DELICIOUS!

He crawls...

My teeny tiny sweet little baby has learned to crawl, and he is getting better at it by the second.  I am amazed how quickly this little person has gone from a fuzzy ultrasound picture to a toddler.  When Kyle and I get used to one thing Maxx can do, he goes ahead and does something else, thank goodness we have a lot of energy because this kid sure is a mover.  He was up on his knees and in the push-up position up for weeks, and then a couple days ago everything clicked and he was off.  Now we are trying to figure out how to keep a baby that wants to get into anything he shouldn't and now is mobile contained.

Practicing crawling was the high priority this weekend, Kyle also finished our staircase and we starting P90X together.  Yes, Kyle and I have started the P90X program, and wowwie, that is tough.  I attempted day one on Friday and had to load up on a few more pieces of equipment, so we officially started yesterday.  Day one.  Today is Plyometrics (sp?), sounds nice enough, I am sure it won't be nice at all.  =)

Oh and I almost forgot, we also had Pineapple for the first time, yummy.  I am fairly certain Maxx liked the squishy texture of it in his hands more than the taste.

All Boy

A couple months into being pregnant Kyle and I started guessing what the little peanut would be.  I was convinced through most of the pregnancy Maxx was going to be a girl for 3 reasons:

1.  At the time EVERYONE seemed to be having girls
2.  Dreams
3.  I just knew Kyle wouldn't get his little boy on the first try

Well, as you all know I was wrong, and as Maxx grows up I giggle about just how "boy" he is.  He is tough, rolls over, hits his head on everything, won't stop moving and mimics all his dads movements and sounds.  He is through and through boy.  When I found out he was a boy, I thought of one drawback, no darling sweet lovely little fun pink clothes.  I was correct on the no darling, sweet, lovely, little and pink, but I was completely wrong on the fun.  Boys actually do have some seriously fun wardrobe choices, yay!  One of my particular favorites is CAMO!  Camo seems to be my favorite thing to dress Maxx in.  It just screams "I am a tough little monster".  =)

Why am I reflecting on this?  Well on Sunday at the Gun and Horn show, Uncle Riley bought Maxx Man the toughest looking Camo Sleeper, and I had to share.  Thank you Ri!  Now it will be even harder to see him when he is scooting all over the house.  =)

Birthday Idea

My little man was born on the Fourth of July, and for his one year birthday I wanted to do a big party for him with lots of fun food, so the search has begun for all things delicious and Fourth of July festive, I came across this idea in AC's pinterest (which I still have NO idea how to use) and fell in love!  How cute?!  It is from Wit and Whistle's blog and I think it is the most darling idea.  She used cookie cutters so really if you had small cookie cutters you could do all sorts of fruits in all different colors and shapes depending on what you want  your fruit salad to celebrate!!! (Like you could do red and green colored fruit with Christmas shapes, maybe even drop them in some jello and bring back the jello salad?!)  I could not get enough of this, so I wanted to share, and if you can make it to the big 1 year bash you will most definitely see this on the table!!!

And while we are talking about the little bugs birthday bash, I have to mention that yesterday we marked 8 months!  So really I only have 4 months of planning to do until we are celebrating 1 whole year! Yikes!  We unfortunately celebrated my little man's 8 months by staying up ALL NIGHT.  =(  He woke up about 3 times, and each time spent about an hour up.  I blame teeth. Mean old naughty no good teeth.  Cutting teeth has been the largest hurdle yet to cross, and last night was no exception.  On a bright note though we are up this morning, happy as a clam and scooting all over the place with a smile!
